Meet The BrainPort

The BrainPort is a non-surgical assistive device intended for orientation, mobility, object identification, and spot reading by individuals who are blind with no useful vision.

That's People That Are TOTALLY Blind!

But surely, it can't help them to actually SEE can it?
Turns out that we don't really see with our eyes at all.
We see with our brain, and with experience our brain can make images from braille-like images pressed against our tongue!

Have someone draw a letter or a number on your back and with a bit of practise you can easily recognise it.
Well these people have taken that ability a million steps further!
